Today in Leinster House: December 5, 2011

It’s a second five-day week in a row, as the Dáil votes itself to all things Budget-y while the Seanad takes care of the legislative business.

And so it all begins…

2:30pm – Statements on Expenditure – Brendan Howlin kicks off the Budget season with a 30-minute address to the Dáil in which he will outline the cutbacks in public expenditure coming in tomorrow’s Budget votes. While Fianna Fáil, Sinn Féin and the technical group spend 30 minutes outlining their response, other ministers will be in the government press centre outlining their own plans – details of which you will find on this live stream.

Debate continues until 1:30pm; if a vote is called, it will be taken on Tuesday.

The day’s Dáil business can be viewed on our Seanad streams for web and Facebook.
