Today in Leinster House: January 10, 2012
A new dawn, a new day, a new li… well, not quite. The Oireachtas returns with a four-day week – which is unusual under any circumstances, but even more remarkable when it’s returning from Christmas recess – though the first day is a single committee meeting.
2:15pm – Environment, Transport, Culture and the Gaeltacht – Continuing its long-running session of hearings on Ireland’s water supply, the committee hears from Dr Eoin Reeves from UL, Seán Kelly from Roscommon County Council and Michael Wall from SIPTU on the construction and operation of water schemes; before later discussing European Parliament proposals for a ‘trans-European transport network’.
The meeting will be in Committee Room 4 – you can watch the business through the Web stream and Facebook stream.
