Today in Leinster House: September 13, 2011
The Dáil and Seanad resume from their summer break tomorrow but before that there are two committee meetings, each worth keeping an eye on.
3:30pm – Communications, Natural Resources and Agriculture – Communications minister Pat Rabbitte, and his secretary-general Aidan Dunning, go over some of the ‘priority issues’ facing the department. That’s in Committee Room 3 – live stream is here (or here for those of you reading through Facebook).
4pm – Finance, Public Expenditure and Reform – The meetings on the issues facing the economy and banking sector enter their third week, with public expenditure minister Brendan Howlin answering questions on where he thinks the economy is headed. Listen closely for potential hints as to how bad Budget 2012 might be. Committee Room 4: Web stream here, Facebook stream here.
